He was born in Kumru, Ordu in 1952.   He has completed his preliminary and secondary
training in Kumru and in Fatsa. He graduated from Nisantasi Faculty of Pharmacy, Istanbul
in 1975, and returned to Kumru. He worked there as freelance pharmacist. Meanwhile, he
was elected as the mayor of County of Kumru, Ordu for 2,5 years.

 He returned to Istanbul in 1983 and purchased Aroma Pharmaceutical.
